Panchita The Sea Lion
Years ago a Galapagos sea lion named Panchita was caught up in a net, which left deep cuts all over her body. She managed to get away and make it to this hotel, where animal advocates lovingly nursed her back to health for three months.
A special bond was formed between Panchita and her rescuers. After she was fully healed, Panchita was released back to her natural habitat in the wild. But every day she returns to visit the humans who rescued her after being out at sea all day. She spends time with her rescuers and takes a peaceful, afternoon nap on her special chair. Then she'll return to the sea, and her rescuers know she'll be back to visit them the next day.
